Don't become a dinosaur and miss out on great opportunities!! Sometimes we need to understand who actually WANTS to read our content, or hear our point of view. We need an angle, an approach... and understanding who you're talking to can help!
Get into social media so readers can easily share posts on THIER social platforms like Facebook and Twitter. They might want to let others know about you and your view, many people have liked your post, made comments and other things. Don't sell yourself short, but you're also not that amazing... you're incredibly unique but not astounding. ;) Stay humble.
